This is one of the new Troublemaker games models from their Indiegogo campaign, and one of the models I am most excited about (I bough 6 of them). These are large conveyor with heavy weapons (read ordinatus with titan weapons). I’ve been using the original GW Ordinatus models for both my majoris and minoris ordinatus  now with these models I can have models with distinct looks to represent the various war engines of the cult mechanicum.

Hormagaunts shown for scale… Really digging these models they extremely detailed and will look awesome once painted.

New custom models from Troublemaker games’s Indiegogo campaign. This models will be used as Adeptus Mechanicus proxies. It’s not that I really need MORE Adeptus Mechanicus models, but these prints were just too beautiful to pass up. and I will definitely be adding a few to my titan legion models to give a sense of the immense scale for those war engines.

I finally got a few marcharius tanks ‘proxies’! These were already painted but I plan to swtich up the scheme and fit them into my Adeptus Mechanicus forces. Just looking at this photo you wouldn’t think these models are under 1.5" long … the detail is quick incredible. It’s a shame to strip them down but the Omnissiah wills it.

Beware of the armless Legion

Base warlord titans are assembled. I have a lot of work to do to get the legion done. I have decided to paint the legion in Legio Ignatum (Fire Wasp) colors,

I choose the Fire Wasps mainly because they were loyal, were one of the original titan legions with a history that dates back to the Horus Hersey (my favorite) and they participated in the 3rd War for Armageddon. This allows me to paint and use a historically accurate force in both the Armageddon campaign AND any Epic Horus Hersey stuff the Austin Epic group may do.

Here is my legion’s full army list. - I show the points values since the rules are available online for free from Games-Workshop and should not be an infringement of any of their IP or copyrights. The force was built using the War Gryphons Titan Legion list from the Epic Armageddon Compendium v2.0 (PDF).

Let me know what you think.

epic40kdude:

I am kind of in awe of the Ordinatus. They are some of the few Epic models I haven’t collected yet, but the whole army looks about as sturdy as wet tissue in the field with all your heavies having no void shields. How did it do?

Your right, the Adeptus Mechanicus are not the hardest hitting force out there and on top of that most of my forces are designed and built around the universe fluff rather than for tournament play. Though I do have a few IG lists just in case someone needs a stomping. :)

The game I played in at MillenniumCon was a 3 on 3 game so the AdMech acted in a support role (just like in 40k fluff) and they did very well. I run 7 Ordinatus total - 1 Majoris with a nova cannon and 6 Minoris (usually a tank fighting unit and an infantry fighting unit.)  They are not the best bang for the buck but they are deceptive on the table - opponents see a handful crazy looking tanks with light armor but when they fire it’s like being shot at by a whole company of tanks.

As an example: the anti-infantry Ordinatus unit pumps out 12x AP4+/AT4+ and my anti tank can pump out 12x AP5+/AT3+ and 4x MW2+ so they can be fearsome if you get too close.

All in all they are good fun.

Here are a few snaps of alternate design leman russ’ for my Adeptus Mechanicus army.  I want to give the Admech a look like feels a little archaic yet still has the general imperial flavor.

I figured these old Gordon mine layers could do the trick. the current Epic edition doesn’t have rules for the gorgon mine layers only the gorgon troop transport. Unfortunately the original gorgon model is ugly as sin.

Some of the folks from the Tactical Command have custom made new gorgons based on the Forge World model. the models that I have seen are gorgeous and I would love to get my hands on a few. What I really like best about them is the size - the old model is about the size of a chimera yet it carries 10 stands - this newer model helps people understand that there vehicles are tough and carry a ton of troops.

If anyone knows who makes the fan-made [not]gorgons or where I can get some - please let me know.

Photo from when I was building out 6000 points of Adeptus Mechanicus for MillenniumCon. Larry, one of the Epic players here in Austin organized a couple of tables for Epic and some friends and I were asked to bring 3000, 4000, and 6000 point lists.

I finally got to convert some Ordinatus and I mounted the custom made  Skitarii and Praetorians.

Unfortunately, was extremely busy with work in the weeks leading up to MillenniumCon and did not get a chance to paint the army… so I played bare metal :(
