I got my custom Tyranid bases on Monday this week, and though I wasn’t near the workshop to play with them I did get to take a close look at them. I’m very impressed with the prints. They are very cool bases. 

The precision is amazing, these have 6mm holes for the models and a small lip inside the hole for a glue reservoir to reduce glue squishing out. The bases are just at 2mm thick with a 1mm angled lip to match the GW official bases. 

Color me impressed

Since designing and printing I have decided to keep my tyranids on long bases to enable larger numbers of close combat troops to rank up. I will be thinking about and looking for a place use this base design, but we’ll see.
