Got my boxset in and played a game with Kris. Imperial ships are powerful but you really have to plan ahead really well. Awesome game. I’m looking forward to the next few wave of ships.

New toys!

A packaged arrived today from an undisclosed locations with new toys just in time for my tyranid army construction.

These custom models are beautiful and will fit in nicely to the mix of other versions and proxies I plan to use.

I got the first set of bases designed for the Tyranids. Since deciding to use the long bases for the core of the army I needed some new bases for the warriors, zoanthropes, hive tyrants,  carnifexes and trygons.

All I have left is to make the bases for all of the armored craziness which will be larger rectangular bases probably 30mm x 50-60mm ish… 

I decided to put a lip on the 25mm base so that it can be filled in with gel and have the feet of the model appear to be sitting flush with the top of the base. the larger 45mm base is for the trygons and of course the strip bases with3-holes are for lictors, warriors and zoanthropes.

A little more work and reproduction and I’ll be ready to print :)
