Some samples of the Proteus-like tank used by the Legions of bio-generated super humans. Beautiful models and looking forward to exploring HH in Epic more.
Playing with the Steel Legion in what little free time I have has caused me to think about my first 4ok army love… The Crimson Fists. I think it might be time to dust off the many cases and pull out the Fists to give them a touch up.
I get nostalgia looking at my Petro Kantor model, I still haven’t painted his eyes… :-o
Dreadnought Drop Pod.
This model is kind of a pain in the butt. none of the pieces are lining up right and for some reason it doesn’t like to stay together.
I’m going to have to pin it.
I cut the aquilas off since I’m planning to use this one in my Sons of Horus army. But I have another one for the Red Scorpions which I’ll get together for JMS in the near future.
This is the craziness of my Sons of Horus army and my excuse for why it’s been going so slow.
In a moment of OCD I decided to pin every marine piece by piece so that I could get the most dynamic poses and make painting as easy as possible.
The previous images I’ve share of this WIP army the models appear to be put together - well in fact they are actually just pinned and one a single model has yet be glued. The benefit of this is it will allow me to paint all of the Secret Weapon Miniature bases in one group. then the Marines properly posed in another, and finally the boltgun (or other weapon) in a third. It also allows me to do most of the detailing on the model while the weapon is detachable to allow better access to the chest plate. It’s not as important on heresy models because their isn’t an aquila to paint but that is OCD for you.
If I had £7000….
Sure is a lot of Ultramarines. J. Marcus Studios and I are planning a pretty massive force for the 2nd company of the Sons of Macragge. It’s still a ways off but in the works.
Picture of a dozer blade I made from plasticard (sheet styrene) and greenstuff (epoxy putty). I later took this model and cast it in RTV silicone rubber and made many duplicate for my Imperial Fist Space marine Vindicators. The demolisher cannon on the front is made with 2 sizes of brass tubing glued together.
There is also a small piece which attaches the blade to the front of the tank (which can not be seen) that piece was also part of the “kit” I made.
Also, adding a blurry photo of my conversions of Space Marine 1st edition era Rhinos into Whirlwinds and Hunters Shhh - don’t tell.
