A few quick photos of my squats mounted on long (strip) bases. I like the look of massed ranks of infantry in Epic. So long bases tend to be my preference.

I have considered using other base shapes and definitely plan to mount [at least the vehicles] of my Eldar on round bases. Not sure about the infantry yet…
